Twisted Lives by Tim Tigner
"I sensed that I was screwed the minute the man in 2A pulled the first-class flight attendant onto his lap."

I struggled to finish this mystery/thriller about a man whose marriage is on the rocks. He and his wife have a successful date night. The next morning, he wakes up and finds that she was strangled during the night. He knows he didn't kill her, but how could he have slept through her murder?
Felix Sparks knows he'll be the primary suspect and that police won't look farther than that. He had two daughters who need him, and he's not going to prison for a crime he didn't commit. Instead, he goes on the while he finds the killer.
The story plays out from both Felix's perspective and "Beats," the female detective assigned to the case. I admit I was intrigued because this book is based on the author's life. That said, I struggled. I didn't like the character. I grew tired of the twists. I struggled to finish it.
