The One Before the One by Emma Cooper
"Seven years ago, Kit, the love of my life, left me to go on a hike and never came back."

That line kicks off a British romance that includes a bit of time travel, too.
Liv is head over heels in love with Kit, and they seem to have a bright future, until he walks out the door and is never seen again.
Years pass, Kit never returns, and she's grown attached to his brother. They're about to get married when she opens the door and finds herself back in time, right before Kit left.
She has the chance to change the past, but does she want to?
I don't read as much romance as I used to, but this was perfect. It was almost a coming-of-age story, with the storyline touching on whether true love changes with time or is it static?
The setting, story, and characters all drew me in and made it hard to put down. I recommend it. Read more about The One Before the One at Emma Cooper's website.
